We can assist school systems in our state in accessing CACFP funding to provide suppers to those students who need it the most. One in five North Carolina children suffer from food insecurity and receiving a meal prior to going home, potentially to an empty house, is the right step to help eliminate this problem. The CACFP “At Risk Afterschool” program provides financial reimbursement to schools for each participating child and is available to all children and all age groups from elementary to high school.
We have the staff, expertise and support to offer school systems to successfully implement this program, without becoming a distraction with all the other regulatory aspects of your job. We manage the application process, oversight, training, meal and menu record verification, claiming and reviews. There is no need for your staff to travel to Raleigh for training or to start the lengthy application process. Our staff is merely a phone call away to answer questions and offer guidance.
